The new compact, durable, easy-to-use Drift HD camera elevates the point of view camera market to a higher level with the most feature-rich, multi-functional, professional helmet camera available to date. The camera features Full HD 1080p recording along with 720p at 60 or 30 frames per second. 60 frames per second creates that hollywood style slow motion footage. Very cool.
Featured on the side of the camera is a 1.5" screen for lining up your shots and for viewing your recorded footage. There is also a menu available for changing all of the settings on the camera unlike other manufacturers that have very cryptic operation, this camera is dead simple to use and easy to set up.
Drift Innovation went back to the drawing board and came up with a much more compact and lightweight design. Coming in at 4.1 inches and 4.23 oz., 25 percent smaller that its predecessor, it's the compact camera you've always wanted from Drift.
Why record a bunch of useless footage and waste your battery and memory card space? Only record the good stuff! The Drift HD comes with an RF remote control to enable you to film what you want to record, not the boring stuff in between. You can pair the remote control to your camera or any number of additional cameras. This is especially useful when you are in a situation where you can't reach the camera to start/stop the recording. Remote is not a line of site remote like some other cameras, it is radio operated so as long as the camera is within range, 5 meters, then you can control the camera.
Drift HD camera comes with both it's own mounting system and a standard 1/4? x 20 mm thread for use with most tripod mounts. The Drift HD also features a new and improved goggle mount, and also has several quick release mounts for most mounting situations.
The Drift HD comes with a 300 degree rotating lens so you can mount the camera at any angle and any position to get that shot you are looking for. New in this model is a replaceable lens. Now, you don't need to send the camera back to the manufacturer when you get some marks on the lens. Instead buy some of the inexpensive lenses ahead of time and be ready to shoot again within moments.
Also reworked is the rear compartment cover. Now instead of a single hingled cover, you have the choice of two screw on/off covers. One is for the best protection against the elements and the other cover has hatches for an external mic and a USB cable for charging or downloading.
Want to watch your footage quickly and easily on a TV? No problem. On the back of the camera is a micro HDMI connector for HDTV playback. Relive your experience and immerse yourself in full HD quality.
In the box is an 1100mah lithium-ion rechargeable battery for long lasting record times... about 2 hours and 30 minutes worth. No need to purchase AA or AAA batteries like some other cameras require.
