Spyker Sends Off The C8 Aileron With A Wild Paintjob And Exposed Rivets
Spyker, the small Dutch car company responsible for some truly stunning sports cars, is wrapping up the six year production run of the C8 Aileron . To commemorate the occasion, it’s building three final edition “LM85” cars, all sporting a sweet two-tone paintjob, a matching interior, and riveted bodywork.
Like the standard Aileron, the three LM85 cars receive a supercharged 4.2-liter Audi V8 making 525 horsepower and 443 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox, controlled by Spyker’s signature exposed gear lever. The company says it’ll do 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.
The LM85 cars take their design from Spyker’s Laviolette GT2R endurance race car, incorporating a handcrafted aluminum body, exposed rivets, and the giant contrasting “S” paint scheme. The first car will be painted black with a crimson red “S,” the second car will be painted crimson red and black, and the third car will be painted black and gold. All three cars will get matching two-tone leather seats, a turned aluminum dash, and Chronoswiss gauges.
Pricing is yet to be revealed, but we have a feeling all three examples are already spoken for. Too bad, I was just about to place my order.
